Why was this USELESS item added without a possible REMOVAL for the useless thing. I have no idea as to why this thing was implemented, it has no use what so ever and it is unremovable and takes up screen usage besides no telling what else beside more memory comsumption. I will NOT reinstall this useless thing and will revert back to mIRC 6.2 even with the fubar's in has with SSL. Geeeeeeeeeeesh, somebody get their HEAD OUT OF THEIR A$$.

The treebar can be disabled by going to the View menu in the menubar and unchecking the Treebar item.

There, if you'd posted a question politely asking how to disable the treebar you could have saved yourself a lot of aggravation and prevented yourself from looking like a complete ranting idiot. Something to consider for next time.

I'm pretty sure that person should be you.

View > uncheck treebar
View > check switchbar

After you remove your head from your ass, you should insert your foot into your mouth.

I did find it a little weird and annoying that after installing mIRC 6.3 the Treebar was enabled (I had it disabled before the "upgrade" installation) after I ran mIRC.

so much about signs of intelligence eh ?

ever considered that people who make custom scripts for themself
have more windows opened then are by default ?

i personaly join 10 channels and with notice, query and other custom windows that open according to server services i have about 20 windows opened.

so tell me Einstein, how would this look with switchbar ?
like crap...

todays lession: treebar is very useful and a good thing.

Unfortunately the install fubard and that option was NOT available. Infact it actually deleted my key also. This was directly downloaded from Illinois site. I redownloaded another one to wit it installed properly and accepted my key. And yes the treebar is now available to be removed. I still say, tho, that it is unwanted, uneccessary and should not default on due to the fact that it is useless and memory comsuming. But then again, we see that in all of winblowz programs, its just useless items thrown in to take up more wasted space.
Now back to making corrections and fixes for mIRC6.3.

If it is so useless and unwanted, why were there so many people asking for it? Personally, I don't use it and can't stand how it looks. However, a lot of people prefer it, so I can't see why having it there is a problem. Besides, it has been part of mIRC for quite a while. It was enabled by default in the new mIRC install due to extra items placed into the mIRC.ini file and the fact that (I guess) enough people use it that having it on by default makes sense.

Anyhow, before flying off the handle, just ask. You'll probably find an answer without complaining and yelling for no good reason.

So the install corrupted and it just so happened that everything worked fine except that option wasn't available?

I smell something wink

I love the treebar too, though it could use some skinnability to have the icons/font/colors work better with themes and scripts.
