I hope this is the right place to post this...My question is: is there a way to add a host in the notify list instead of a nick? and if it is possible- how? and if not..do you know why it isnt?
thx
You can't really add an address but what you could do is make your notify /whois the person when they connect to make sure it really is them.
Normally you would just do /notify <nickname> to add them but to /whois the person add the "+" symbol before <nickname> and it should /whois the person when they connect.
So,
/notify +<nickname>
ie.
/notify +abydos
Thx for the fast reply. Ive done that already but I wanted to know if I could add an address and the server notifies me every time the address is online. if someone enters from the certain address to get a msg that the address is online. Then id see the nickname. Too bad thats not possible:( Anyways- Thanks a lot
Adding of a host would be an ircd feature since mircs notify list works off the ircd's software which is either "notify" or "watch"
Some networks don't have a system for notify,
mIRC uses the ISON command for notify on these
networks. ISON only works for nicks.
ison thats the other one couldnt think of it for the life of me
