If you open create some custom @window and after trying to log(with /log) the line added by /aline.. It don't log anythink.. But work fine if you use /echo to add lines..
Also then you call the /log it show you somethink like "* Logging @SomeCustomWindow to '@SomeCustomWindow.log'" even if in the log options i have "Date filenames: By Day".. And the log file name must be somethink like @SomeCustomWindow.20031228.log.. The log message(after using /log) is wrong but in the file is created how must be..

I believe the /aline thing is intentional and, imo, the way it should be: if both commands behaved the same, what would you do if you didn't want to log the line?

You would RTFM for /echo and see:

The -g switch prevents the line from being logged to the log file.

Code:
//if ( khaled isgod ) echo yes | else echo no

Yes, you would, but from v6.0 and on. The -g switch was added in 6.0; prior to that, /aline was the only way to add a line without it being logged. And I don't think it would be a wise move to change /aline now because of /echo -g.
