Wow that's a lot of memory for mirc... I just looked at my task manager for the heck of it and my mirc (including a script and at least one .dll) is only running 15mb of ram.

You must have something loaded that must be memory hogging...

Someone else suggested a clean mirc with nothing fancy... give it a try and let us know smile

You only need the buffer set to 4096 or less.
Anything more is overkill.

This happens to me too. I don't use any scripts, my buffer's at 2000 and I don't log anything, but I do visit 9 channels on 5 servers regularly. It locks up even more often when doing anything related to DCC sends, such as browsing for the file to send. This never happened to me before upgrading to 6.12, and still doesn't happen to my other client which runs SysReset and mIRC 6.03. It's really getting frustrating.

It's doing that to me too. I have 466mb of Page Files used up right now. But still I don't even log. >_<
It's got me on my wit's end already.

Try: ALT+O > Other > Window buffer:
And use a value of: 2048
Then type /clearall in any channel.

Also, try /remote off, and then /hfree -w *
Note, this may destroy unsaved data, but will clear any hashtables from memory.

If you are still having issues, install a clean and crisp copy of mIRC v6.12 with NO scripts installed. See how that effects your page file.
