Ok. I'm currently housesitting for my parents up at their place and have moved my computer up to their house and have it connected into their network (both my old network and this one are comcast cable internet based) and am having a very bizarre issue.

I have several IRC networks I'm regularly on (Newnet, Aniverse and Otherworlders to be precise.) Of those three, only Newnet is working right where I'm able to connect and chat regularly.

On ANY other network I'm having massive issues. I'm able to connect in usually with no problems. HOWEVER once I'm connected I can't do ANYTHING, not even join a simple channel or do any commands whatsoever.

Can anyone help me?

It seems that your parents' ISP is getting you a bad connection to the networks.

Not much we can suggest besides: try another server or port for the networks that are failing. If the servers don't want to co-operate there's not much you can do.
