Forums mIRC Help xdcc downloads - loss of network connectivity

Hey,

When i download a file using xdcc i lose connection to my network after say 1-15 mins (timing differs). In effect, it seems that my NIC is non-functional. In the windows network settings it still reports it to be connected but i cannot access the web or any other pcs on the network.

My pc is connected through a dynalink rta300 adsl router, im running windows xp pro sp2 and using mirc 6.16

Ive had this problem for a while now and cant find a solution. I've tried a format but the problem returned after several weeks. I dont experience this problem with any other applications

Note that I did experience this issue when running mIRC and various edonkey/emule/overnet p2p programs. It's an issue with those programs that they have been made aware of.
