That thread explains that bans from servers are specific to networks - they have nothing to do with mIRC. If you connected with another IRC client, you'd still be banned. The ban may not be aimed at you, but rather your ISP because of another abusive person who insisted on ban evading.
The only reason given for being banned is 'lame', so if you've irritated anyone or acted lame (e.g. flooding, repeating, stalking) for whatever reason, then that may be why. Otherwise, it'd probably be the former theory.
If the network doesn't provide a decent website for people to find information on, we can't really either. It's their ban and only they can remove it.
