I am also unable to connect, checked all my connections, nothing has changed, but I still can't get online and it's the same error message you have.

Anyone have any answers? Anyone know where we can go to get the answers?

If you are tring to connect to criten. I beleive they are down. I checked a sight showing connections to criten and none have been able to connect since late yesterday. I have been getting the same messages. I can get on chill out with no problem, but not criten

You may find yourself able to connect by using some of the ip addresses here - just quickly testing I was able to connect to 208.53.133.187. The 'cant assign requested address' is probably a result of the 0.0.0.0 ips that are being returned by DNS in a (probable) attempt to divert attacks (dalnet did this too when it was being attacked).

Yes, it's criten that I'm trying to get onto, but tmd won't come up either...I'll try some other sites to see if it's just me. Is there somewhere that criten might have something "official" to say about this problem?

hey guys the dns is down (the thing that changes irc.criten.net to an ip)...but even as you type in the ip i don't get anything anymore, so im stuck too..umm ur supposed to use irc.criten.co.uk (from -removed-) but that hasn't been working for me either :-/

Check for a working IP evry time criten seems to be down at this address:
