OK, well I actually DOWNLOADED mIRC so I don't believe it's a trojan/virus or whatever. And also, it doesn't start up when my computer comes on. But there's NO uninstaller? And it doesn't show up in Add/Remove Programs? Weird. I have Trillian now so I would like to uninstall it but NOOOO.

try re-downloading it, and reinstalling it. There should always be an entry in add/remove programs for mIRC. Can't think of why there isn't, but if redownloading and reinstalling doesn't create the entry, just removing the mIRC directory will effectively remove the program as it does not create any files anywhere else on your system.

A lot of uninstall issues are covered in this thread, although most of it relates to security issues. It's worth noting, just because you installed mIRC intentionally doesn't mean you are not infected with a trojan - a trojan may have hid mIRC at a later date from the Add/Remove programs list. There are numerous antivirus/firewall resources in this thread.

Make sure you only get mIRC from this website, and try what Danman said.

So... there's no mIRC directory...it doesn't show up in Add/Remove programs...it doesn't begin at start up - are you sure mIRC is installed at all?

The default directory for mIRC is C:\Program Files\mIRC, but it might be in C:\mIRC - If you use Windows XP, use the 'search' feature in Explorer to search for 'mIRC'. Make sure you search 'all files and folders',
