My friend is behind a firewall and I wanted to give him access to some of my files, but the fserve wouldn't work because of the firewall, so I tried using the dccserver fserve, and I came to find that it seems to be broken. I tried with a fresh copy of mIRC and did a dccserver connect to my own IP address. The connection worked just fine but it insisted on only chatting. The conection worked, but the fserver never functioned. For so reason "//fserve $ip 5 c:\" does nothing but load up dccserver chat. Although, if I do "//fserve $me 5 c:\" it works perfectly fine, so long it is not behind anybodies firewall.

The "/fserve" command is only for use with nicks, try having the other person use "/dcc fserve $yourtip $yourport" for IP addresses. This needs to be done by the person trying to connect with you. Make sure you "/dccserver on". On your end you will need to script "on *:DCCSERVER:fserve:" instead of "on SERV".
