I am currently using mIrc 6.16... and when someone tries to view my info it specifies my idle time... Perhaps to some this is useful. However I feel as tho I'm being spied on... and people accuse me of not answering and what not.. Is there any way to get rid of this feature other than using a different mirc script? How can i disable this idle time feature!

That has nothing to do with the script you are using, and there is no way that I know of to block it. In appears in your /whois when someone sharing the same server as you /whois's you. Also, if someone uses /whois nickname nickname (i.e. specifies the nickname twice) then they can see the idle time even if they are not on your server.

If you're answering people's questions that is your choice, and you do it voluntarily - you are under no obligation to do so. So, if people start bugging you and telling you to start answering their questions, may I suggest you inform them that you are a volunteer and you don't have to, or simply /ignore them? smile

If you pick a nickname and type something like /whois nickname nickname you should be able to see other people's idle time.

You can always download one of those private message blocking addons out there that let you control who can PM you. Check out the #Help channel on the network you use and see if there's a mode that blocks PMs from certain people (i.e. unregistered nicknames), that may cut down on it too.
