Yes, it is normal for the box to appear.

Do you mean you have not-boxes instead, but some weird chars? I have the same problem. Every control character is a different char, and ctrl+u is not showing at all
What system do you use, Windows XP maybe..?

Are you sure it's not just the font you are using? Change to fixedsys and see if you still get the problem.

Same, even here on the board i don't see it as regular boxes (or in any program, with any font - even MS Word).
Well, it's not all that bad, except for 'invisible' ctrl+u :tongue:

And i think it's XP's fault.
