The scripts won't save japanese characters, which is very annoying, it saves as ??????, because the files is saved as ascii not unicode most likely.

Fixing this would either require mIRC to add extended support for the ISO-2022-JP/JIS encoding, or add Unicode support. If Unicode were to be used for Japanese, Japan would have to switch to an encoding they don't really like and aren't familiar with. That could be a tough one.
