Firstly, there is no need to use CAPS - it's considered shouting, and therefore, rude. Secondly, please keep the swearing down, this is a family-orientated forum and people of all ages and all walks of life will browse the threads.

Although this is the 'general' discussion forum, topics such as this are fairly inappropriate. They have nothing to do with mIRC, IRC or...anything. Try talking to your friends online.

It isn't 'just' moderators who have a 'problem' with off-topic threads. 'Problem' isn't even the right word to use. However, this is an mIRC message board, and something like this is completely inappropriate. You wouldn't go to Microsoft's support board and ask them what a good football team name is. You wouldn't phone up your ISP to have a good chat about last Friday night with the customer service representative - so there's no need to be ridiculously off-topic here.

Generally computer-related stuff is obviously acceptable. Hell, even this thread is acceptable - I was just giving an FYI that it'd be preferred if threads were kept related to mIRC/IRC/computers/etc so that we don't see a large number of threads like this being posted.

As for the swearing, if you weren't so busy trying to make me look 'wrong' in everything I say then you would have seen I edited the post, and from that, you should have been able to work out I deleted the swearing from that post.

Regards,

forgot i posted in this one. but even though the topic is dead issue. i would still like to say. that mirc forums are sectioned off. "General" is not in the "Support" Section. therefore your analogy of going to microsoft support boards was far fetched in comparison to this particular case.

No, it was not farfetched. What a shame people are not mature enough to not take things to the extreme.

There is no point arguing, nor dragging up old threads.

You think I need educating on the difference between a Microsoft support board and this mIRC board?

This will continue in private message, thread locked - it's old, and has zero relevance to anything or anyone.
