Ok, I use mirc 6.14. I have both a router w/ nat and ZoneAlarm Sercurity Suite. I had set up the nat to forward all dcc's and idents and it worked perfectly. Once I turned my firewall back on, it quit working again. Since it worked without the firewall being on, I know it has to be that. I am not familiar with the opening and allowing of ports and what I have tried is not working at all. If someone could please assist me it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Torewyn

I don't know about the new ZoneAlarm's, but in older versions all you had to do is let mIRC "act as a server" (i.e. listen on certain ports) and everything would work.

Go to IM Security.
Settings
Press advanced button.
Untick Block IRC.
Press OK.

All should now be well
