I'm running MIRC v. 6.16 on Windows XP. I can DCC receive, but I can't send. I've gone through this guide to try to rectify the problem: http://toidyman.net/xp-dcc/1.htm

It's generally pretty useful, until the very end (of course!!). You see, on their screenshot of the DCC options dialogue box, there are two boxes where you can specify the DCC ports that you've just set up. The problem is, my MIRC doesn't have those two boxes on my DCC options dialogue box. So how do I fix this problem?

And please, I'm not a tech person. I don't speak tech. I need simple answers that tell me exactly what to do and type. If at some point I need to hit the enter key, you need to tell me that. Thanks for your help!!

Not much to worry about, the port options were moved in later versions of mIRC - you can now find them in:

ALT+O > Connect > Options > [Advanced...]

Hope the document resolves your situation. Remember, you can also check out this thread for a large amount of information concerning the issue.
