First of all, typing in all capital letters is considered shouting, please try to refrain from that. Secondly, I am just curious as to why you need 30 different connections.

And thirdly, words like "please" and "thank you" are often helpful - all of the board users/helpers are unpaid volunteers, and no-one likes being ordered about by a stranger...

I would have thought that the answer is to use a properly configured (i.e. secure) proxy on a single box that then connects to the Internet.

I have no idea what 30 'PS' are, however, if you're trying to connect 30 'proxies' to an IRC network, given the manner in which you asked I can only assume you're wanting to for abusive reasons. In fact, I see very few legitimate reasons.

We do not help with abusing IRC networks or channels here for obvious reasons. This includes flooding, packeting, evading bans/ignores and so forth. If your intentions are abusive then please do not ask here, it's pointless smile

Do take note also of what The_Game and PastMaster pointed out about asking in all CAPS and having the common courtesy to say 'please' and 'thank you'.

Regards,

Mentality/Chris

From my previous post:

If you look at the boldfaced text, you will notice that I did say please. I don't think a thank you is in order unless the user has acknowledged it. I realize that board members are unpaid volunteers as I have been here for a while to know this. I did not order anyone to do anything. I asked in what is considered to be polite.

If I was ordering anyone anything, It would probably go something like this: "Go get your vision checked please. Thank you!" grin

I would have thought it was obvious, but... my comments were directed at the original poster, and not at you. They were done as a reply to you because I was following on from your first two points!

I will apologize for my misinterpretation of your post as I thought you were directing your post toward me. If you consider how I interpret things and your post, it can be mistaken to be directed toward myself or the original poster. After reading everything more carefully, I realized that I clearly made a mistake and by then the time to edit had just expired. So again I apologize for my remarks and the misunderstanding.
