like /version gives you the ircd version wasnt sure if there was a command to do the same for services

That would vary from network to network. You might try looking at the MOTD for the Services server, for example, /motd services.*, or ask in the #Help channel of the network. Alternatively, find an IRC Operator. I think /info sometimes does the trick too.

Of course, they might not want people to know the version of Services, in which case there's not much you can do.

Usually "Services" consititutes a server in it's own right so /version services.networkname.blah will return a reply.
