The posts you are reading about working servers are likely to be old. Working servers are listed here.

I have tried it on another computer, it will work fine if you copy the URL into the address bar and press enter instead of just clicking on it.

It isn't particularly hard to do, you just close the options dialog, and type /server mesra.kl.my.dal.net into the text box at the bottom of the window, press enter and it will try to connect you to mesra.kl.my.dal.net.

Ok try /server astro.ga.us.dal.net..perhaps a better idea would be to not use dalnet at all smile

The server my bot is connected to is shown at the near top of the page, the line that says "I am currently connected to...". You should try that server if the others dont work.

First, it is pointless to start a new thread on the same question, so i deleted it.

Second: realize that it is hard to get onto DALnet right now. A server that is working one minute may be full the next minute.
Connection Refused generally means the server is full. (unless of course you are seeing some kind of ban/kline msg you havent mentioned) All you can do is keep trying the ones ppl have suggested and be patient. You can always try connecting to another network until DALnet is settled or to test your settings.

Not really
It means that server is not accepting client connections on that port (there is no daemon listening for connections).

I agree that posting servers' IP is pointless.
And there are some 'tunnels', so better don't connect to such unknown IPs wink
So all we can do is to check servers one by one, to see which is currently working.
