I'm a new user to Mirc and I'm hoping someone could give me a fasttrack explanation of whether I'm likely to be able to get DCC downlaods working through my coporate firewall. I've read the most of the FAQ but a lot of it went over my head.
Currently I'm able to connect to servers on Mirc using Socks2Http by setting MIrc to "localhost" with Socks2Http on. But I get "Connection failed" when trying to download files. I have Kazza working through Socks2Http ok, if that means anything. Given that I can't ask IT to open ports for MIrc, what info do I need from my PC to configure this?
