OP Justin413 Nutrimatic drinks dispenser J Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 5	Does anyone know how to stop norton from scanning files downloaded from MIRC. everytime mirc finishes a file, norton would scan it causing my software to freeze up and disconnect.

DekuHaze Fjord artisan D Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 384	Nope. S/he needs to uncheck the 'Enable auto-protect'. Alternatively,. right-click the icon in the system tray and select 'Disable auto-protect'. Altho this probably isn't a wise thing to do. What's wrong with having your AV software scan your received files?
