Are you running any sort of lag detector?

Try /timer* off

Try /debug -p @debug to see exactly what is happening when you send the messages.

Does /remote off stop the problem?

We'll need to find out if it's the server you're on and it's still possibly a script, so try these suggestions:

1) Connect to another server/network, see if you're getting the same messages from yourself. Try irc.quakenet.org or irc.undernet.org etc etc. If you still get the messages, move on...if you don't get the messages, then contact the server or network administrator of the network you're currently using. Type /motd on the server and you should receive. the necessary information.

2) Install a new, CLEAN mIRC installation to a separate directory. If you no longer have the mIRC installer file get the latest one from here. When you install it, do not keep old mIRC settings - uncheck ALL 3 boxes and make sure you install it to a folder other than the one your current mIRC is in, preferably a new folder in C:\.
Run this new mIRC and connect to any network and see if you still get the messages. If you don't, then it must be a script of some sort. I would suggest simply using this new mIRC (overwrite your old mIRC) and start from scratch, however, before you do that, try typing /!remote off (With the !) and see if that helps.

3) It wouldn't hurt after doing the above two to give yourself a quick scan with 1-2 virus scanners, doesn't sound like you've got something very good. I suggest AVG and The Cleaner but other suggestions can be found in this thread along with some good tips for staying safe in the future (if you are indeed infected with something).

Best of luck smile

Regards,

Mentality/Chris
