Forums General Discussion I would like to set up a server on Sandnet, can anyone help?

This is my first time trying to serve, I have used Myriad for a couple of years but never served. Can anyone advise me on where to start, what I should read or what I should do?

The best thing you can do it to ask other Opers/Admins on that network, they should be able to help you.
As for IRC daemon, i have no idea which one Sandnet use, but you can look at this page.
There are some step-by-step tutorials for setting up IRCds.

I dont know what Myriad you are referring to or if you mean an irc network server or a file server for trading. Either way, talk to the admins on Sandnet for their rules and see if you can find a forum for myriad to ask your questions.

im im taking ur questions right ur not wanting to setup and ircd server which is to chat on but ur wanting to setup a file server ........ if im correct in this assumption then id have to say why would u want to do that with mirc??? use a p2p program like kazza for file sharing
