Forums Developers SetWindowsHookEx crashing mIRC (and everithing)

Hi ! I'm codig dll's for mIRC since some years (for mp3 players, window editing, mIRC control) and recently I've started a DLL to enable Drag n Drop of files (and subsequently anything) for the explorer to any dialog (instead of the "chat" windows).

The problem is that mIRC (as you can imagine if you saw the subject) crash, often getting some other apps or windows with him. Is there some kind of protection or anything to be done with mIRC or the DLL to avoid that crash ? b.t.w. : it crash after the hook as been installed on the thread.

My guess is your are using the hook incorrectly. Bad coding == bad results.

Yeah well it dosen't crash any other programs than mirc, event M$ stuff dont care being hooked by my test prog (the dll is now in a prog for testing purposes).
It would be more helpfull if someone actually give me some advise on hooking mirc if they ever succeded ...

And perhaps we'd be able to help if you actually showed us the code.
