I don’t succeed in resuming downloads from mirc since I’m behind a router, a Trust 445a.

Mirc settings are ok, and I follow some tips that I heard; I open udp 113 port (for identification), tcp 59 port (for dcc server), tcp ports from 1024 to 1518 (my router can open up to only 500 ports) and I set 1024~1518 range for dcc connections.

This doesn’t help, since downloads doesn’t resume! I get always dcc pending error.

I also tried to set a proxy with mirc on 1080 port (obviously I open it in router settings, and I give to mirc ip/user/pass of router), by setting it sock4/sock5 and making all traffic go through this port.

I tried also to disable dmz and napt, but nothing happens.

Is certainly router’s fault, because I connected my old ericsson hm220dp modem and downloads were correctly resumed.

Have you got some idea for let me resume downloads also if I’m behind a router?

Thx grin

The DCC Pending error message is not directly an mIRC issue, it's related to Fserves. See this sticky thread if you haven't already.

It's a good idea to have a quick glance at the sticky threads at the top of the forums as they are there to answer questions which are regularly asked by people.
You might also want to use the Forum's Search feature and use "DCC pending" as the search term. Expand to 'All Forums' and 'All Posts' for best results.

Always keep in mind mIRC is mainly a text chat program and downloading off of fservers (and possibly mass file trading) is not only misusing mIRC but also risky.

Happy chattin'!

Ok, then I suggest you run a Search for "Resume" or "DCC Resume" - Many threads have been created related to the resume function not working and perhaps one of them holds the answer for you. Expand to 'All Forums' and 'All Posts' for best results. Oh and make sure you do have the latest version of mIRC - 6.16.

G'luck!

Hi,

I've exactly the same problem over 3 months, since I got my router.
I can't resume or sending, but download and dcc chat are working.

So I explain my configuration :
- Router Trust 445A Speedlink XDSL web station :
redirecting ports 59,113,1024-1030 (I try different ports but nothing seems working)
I'm using NAPT (and NAT or disabling it doesn't work)
- my station is running WIN 2000 Server and using Mirc 6.03 (others versions doesn't work anymore)
- Mirc configuration is :
Lookup Method : Server
Firewall support : none
Bind all sockets to this ip address : 192.168.0.1 (it's the router ip)
Use random ports for listening sockets is disable
DCC Ports : 1024-1030
Enable DCC Server, listen on port 59 (and listen for send)

I'm not ignoring the file type, there is no lock.

So, I don't know what to do except getting nervous about this smirk

Is there a command or a script to control the connection and the ports that my mirc use ?

I search again and again in threads and over the net but nothing seems to work, I also send a mail to Trust but they redirect me to this site.

Finally, I find the solution to resume files with Trust 445a router !!!! The problem comes from the the chipset of the router !!! There is a bug that avoid resuming files on irc frown

I change the port used by mirc to connect the servers,
It doesn't work on default port 6667 but it works fine on port 6669 !!!

So if you have try everything, just try to change this port ! I'm so happy, I can resume again crazy

I hope this would help you laugh

my router is currently in rma mad

so u solved the problem only by saying mirc to use 6669 port and by opening it in virtual server?

and ports 59,113 and from 1024 to 1026 need to be opened anyway?

let me know mate wink
