hey all,
recently I had some probs with dcc chat mirc to mirc on the same computer. And the solution for that was: /dcc chat 127.0.0.2:59. The only problem I have now is this:

Waiting for acknowledgement...
-
Service unavailable
-
DCC session closed

It seems to be random, I've rebooted the router and that didnt help.
Can anyone help me out please?

In the Options (alt + o) > DCC > Server section ensure the relevent 'listen for' options are checked. If both clients have the dcc server enabled you will need to change the port on one of them and use /dcc chat 127.0.0.1:NewPort. Both clients will 'race' to take port 59 otherwise, which may be why it appears to be random.

Hope that helps smile

At first, both clients had dcc server enabled but since 1 client never accepts incoming stuff I removed the dcc server for that one. It only initiates dcc chats, you dont need to 'listen for: chat' then, right?

After messing a bit with the options, still no luck.
Outgoing dcc chats from the client to other people does work, its just the local stuff. frown

Just to test, place
Code:
on *:DCCSERVER:*:echo -s Connect from $address - $nick

in a seperate remote script on each client and issue the /dcc chat .. command again to see which client is actually getting the request.

The dcc chat request never leaves the bot..
Because afaik the dcc thing aint even work.
Sometimes rebooting the router seems to fix it, but thats very odd because 127.0.0.1/2 never leaves my computer.

If you are binding mIRC to a specific IP then 127.0.0.* may not work, try using your ethernet address (192.168.0.1 ?) instead.

My network ip is 10.0.0.12
So i tried /dcc chat 10.0.0.12:59
Still got the same error frown

I've also tried 192.168.0.1, that dcc didnt go anywhere...
