Hi,

Not an important thing, but it would be nice if $sock stored its host name which was used in the /sockopen command, if any. Otherwise returns the IP address.

Usage?

- HTTP requests (Host: server.com).
- Mail checkers, for referring to the server name.

If anyone else has an idea, you may post it below smile I remember myself needing such a property, and hope it will be included in the next release.

-

Also, in the old board, many people have brought up the idea of a /fetch or /download command, for retrieving files from HTTP or FTP servers. I think it would be very useful, as scripted versions are always more unstable and slow.

Definitely agreed!

I made my own sockopen which just calls sockopen and sets the sock().mark property with the hostname I connected to

But would be better to have it properly
