Hello, I think in a new /notify option that will be more easy to use.. The -N option: /Notify -N (Network) Example: /Notify Khaled -N EFnet will add Khaled to my Notify List at EFnet. Why do this ? To be more specifc. My friend that use the nick Khaled at QuakeNET will not be the sabe Khaled at EFnet. I think this will help the mIRC users to find /notify friends

I'd vote for this one!! As it is now, Notify Window is barely useful. Furthermore, the max number of entries could be expanded because you could easily have 120 (or whatever it is) on one network that you're WATCHing and none of them apply to any other network (opers do this regularly for troublesome nicks), and that makes the Notify Window exceedingly long if those nicks are also on the other 2 or 3 networks you happen to be connected to. With a 120-nick limit, you might not even be able to specify nicks on other networks at all because you've got them used up just on one network!!! So, I say, "Yes, please!"

Yeah, I like this idea, but sort of for the opposite of the reasons Hammer gave  - I have a number of oper nicknames on notify so I can quickly find out who's available (as /stats p and /who 0 o don't always work out!) I connect to 3 networks and with the exception of one person, most of the nicknames are not opers on all 3 networks, so I still have the notify list brought up on connect with nicknames I simply don't need! Instead of -N, perhaps it could be like the ignore list (and others), whereby you use /notify and it adds the specified nickname to the notify list for the network you typed it in, and a -w switch for all networks. Just thinking that so it works in harmony with other list-addition commands *shrugs* Nice idea Regards,
Mentality/Chris

Yeah, Network Support is really useful. I'm using a workaround with the Network in the comments and on (u)notify

YES definitely.
I'm seriously fed up with having to use a scriptlet to do the same thing, and I feel that such a feature would make it easier to manage a mix of networks which include hosts in/with notify and networks which don't.

Inxsys: Awesome idea Mentality: I've been thinking about this for a while myself but never suggested it. I like this idea better as it's more configurable than the basic notify list AND would be in the same place as the other internal lists. The other advantage would be the fact that it makes more commands work the same and Im all for unity where it ADDS to the program like this would

Yup, I'd like network support in the notify list too.

Boy am I glad i did a search for notify before suggesting this! This is one I also was looking for, and was going to suggest. It could be handled just like the perform options, where you can specify the network for the processing.
Help others! It makes the world a better place, Makes you feel good, and makes you Healthy!

I suggested this a little while ago. Make /Notify Server Friendly.I proposed that /notify be made network specific... and also to send ISON requests less frequently based on client activity. eg: ISON frequency should be directly proportional to $idle. mIRC should also use Smart ISON requests... only including a user's nickname if they are not present in a channel. - Raccoon

I know this thread is a tad older by now, but looking over older posts I thought of something else that could be added to the notify list; trusted user. Using a simple switch to allow notify list people to be trusted users shouldnt be too hard to do. Of course it could be done differently as well by saying one list for both trusted and notify list to be used with options from both via checkbox and keep them together. This way, we could take advantage of multiple networks (as proposed above) and trusted users as well as notifies. Just a thought

What is a trusted user? How are trusted users to be treated differently by mIRC?
