Forums Bug Reports ctrl is not working

i have newly donwload and installed mIRC 6.14, when i run it i noticed my ctrl doesnt work. you may wonder why i want the ctrl key.. in swedish keybords ctrl + alt + 7 = {, ctrl + alt + 0 = } etc there is nothing wrong with my keybord cause i made the {} with ctrl + alt here. it is just in mIRC ctrl doesnt work.. and before when i had mIRC 6.12 it worked fine.. anyone recognize the problem?

Fixed for the next version, however you should be able to use the AltGr key (right Alt key) to enter the same characters as with Control+Alt, if your keyboard has the AltGr key.

Same Problem here but using alt gr instead of ctrl+alt works fine.

i know but ctrl+alt is faster :tongue: so this will be fixed for the next version of mIRC? nicenice

Yeah... it is so annoying, i script very much and it is so much easier to press Ctrl+Alt+4 to get $

I'll go back to 6.12 until next version..

Just a msg to make you aware that this bug not only affects Channels or PM's windows, it also affects mIRC's script editor... So when I press Ctrl+Alt+4 on my keyboard (french layout) which would usually print a "{", it instead shows up the 1st file contained in remotes.
This is really annoying since the char { is a rather commonly used one while scripting...

Note: there is no such "side-effect" when pressing Ctrl+Alt + "6" or "+" that respectly print the chars "|" and "}".

I hope this will be fixed there soon... I hate to press AltGr instead (i got accustomed to the Ctrl+Alt thingy :tongue:)
