I have been using IRCnet for some time now. For a while could only use NY Stelthnet. Now that one will not let me on. There are two other US servers but only Washington works now. But only sometimes. And it will not let me use the nick I have been using for years. Anyone know of any new IRCnet servers that might work? Take care and thanks for your help. _Stardust

You can try irc1.us.ircnet.net:6667 ... or, better, join a help channel on IRCnet and ask there - they might know more laugh

*grin* well we do our humble best! wink

There is a complete listing of IRCnet servers at Ilmenau - to say that it's up-to-date is an understatement - it's updated several times every day! shocked (Compare the list at ludd.luth.se, last updated in 1997...)

American users could also try vienna.irc.at and irc.ludd.luth.se, but should be aware that if they can get a connection at all it will be restricted.

The new(ish) American server is irc2.us.ircnet.net (with a 2 instead of a 1). I believe that Stealth vanished because of problems with script kiddies, but ircd.stealth.net is still connected.

If all else fails, get on the webchat at ircnet.org and you'll end up in an IRCnet help channel by default. smile

Hope this helps

This is weird, I can't /dns that host, but irc1.us.ircnet.net redirects clients to 2 anyways.
