Some servers will kill your connection if they suspect you are a "drone" (that is, an automated client that connects from an infected computer). Try to change your nick, ident, email-address and real name before you reconnect (and remember - don't use the same word twice in your settings)

Take a virus scan at one of the Free Online Scanners and see if it detects something. If you're still getting killed, it might be because of a global ban (not necessarily on you, it could be a ban that covers a wide range of addresses). In this case you'd need to wait until it expires (probably in a few days).

Iori - good list. Personally, I'd say a list of this nature should be sticky topiced for everybody to be able to see smile It's a very long list and while it's not all inclusive (can any list really be all inclusive??), it's a VAST resource of programs/sites out there to help out most users smile I realize that this list has nothing directly to do with mirc, but it'd be nice to be able to reference ONE listing instead of numerous ones. Hell, maybe it should be on the mirc links page instead smile smile

This page says Outlook Express and Outlook are essentially the same thing .. Outlook being the "Premier" version that is packaged with MSOffice and Exchange, and Outlook Express would be the "lite" version that is packaged with Internet Explorer 4.x and 5.x as well as Windows98, ME, and 2000 Operating systems.

Yeah, and This says "Requires Outlook 2000 or higher (not Outlook Express!)" so obviously there is some difference between these two "essentially the same things" grin

"Outlook", used on its own, usually indicates the full version, and as I already stated, I was simply going on AVG's own FAQ which does not mention "express".
While you're here though, check Online's post above and my reply to that. :[/b])

In light of Onlines post, you should remove that warning about Outlook Express. :[/b])

I think it's better to leave sticky posts locked to prevent confusion. You can add a note inviting people to PM you if they would like to have something added. Thanks smile
