/msg NickServ REGISTER <pass>

registers your current nickname with the pass you give it

and to identify yourself do

/msg NickServ IDENTIFY <pass>

but that's all in /msg NickServ HELP

The message you are receiving tells you what to do to find out about nick registration on your network:

Quote:
For help registering join #dc-chat & type !nickserv

Join the channel #dc-chat on that network.

Then type !nickserv (don't forget the exclamation mark!).

Not all networks have nick registration, and even those networks that do may have different procedures - so the best advice is to follow the instructions!

If you need more help, try /msg nickserv help
That will give you the information needed on registering, and identifying, the same with chanserv for registering. Most networks are simple to register, /msg nickserv register (pass) sometimes they do /msg nickserv register (pass) (email). My network uses the email one too because it has an email verification option, it sends you a passcode through email. If you need more help, feel free to PM me.
