Hello the defoult font of mirc do not dyslplay euro caracter.
I can change it but other people that have not make cange can not view it!! Please can you add euro symbol by default??

Thise link is a font very simiralar to default mirc font but with euro support

If it makes you feel any better, there are a lot of people who don't like Fixedsys as their font. Sure there are better ones, but it has been this way for a while (as long as I have used mIRC). I am not saying things won't ever change, but you don't see people flocking to switch to a DVORAK keyboard either.

update: I looked at the font you linked to. I hope we see something similar used soon

Adding the euro symbol isn't as simple as flipping a switch, or offering support. The font (fixedsys iteself) doesnt support the euro. So for mIRC to "enable support" you'd need mIRC to change to a font that supports it.

To add euro support is enough change fixedsys with a patched version of fixedsys ( fupdate2.fon for exsample) I make it on my pc : I see euro ( send by other client)but people with i speack with default setting can't see euro....

That's exactly what I am referring to. for mIRC to "fix" this, it would need to install the font for you. Personally, I like having mIRC (or any program) not touching anything but its own folder and a few rgistry values.

The only real patch for this is for the end user to install the updated font, or for mIRC to choose a default font with the capabilities.
