Hi, i was wondering if it was possible to assing the ALT 1-9 shortcuts to different windows instead of simply them being assing according to the windows order.

Also it would be nice if we could separate the private chats from the channel chats on 2 different toolbars.

for @windows you can use on KEYUP or on KEYDOWN events to make your own key 'shortcuts'

as far as having seperat tool bars, that could be done with a dll but have u tryed mIRC Options > Display > Sort buttons

i use that setting myself and like it.

it sorts your windows by the window type, status, channels, queries, @customs

i have far more than 60 open chans.. and i dont want to talk about how many open querys. but everytime my mouse is gettin out of energie (its a wireless mouse) id love to have a function to switch to some channels.. by keyboard. wink dont want to put my coffe out of the other hand. *g*
i have scripts that toggle me thru highligted windows by pressing just one key, but direct acces would be great... why dont usin the numpad to access up to 999 chans? holding ALT pressing 3 numbers release ALT, Jump?
ive really long fingers so i can hold left ALT + pressing numbad with the thumb grin so i can still drink my coffe

One of us must be nuts... but how many users would demand the capability to drink coffee while chatting in 100 channels and 1000 query windows with their mice run out of power?

Who on Earth is gonna remember a specific number for a certain window out of 100 or 1000 numbers?

Besides, Alt+Numpad+3-4numbers is the standard way to access characters by their ASCII numbers - something which is a hell of a lot more useful and commonly needed.

Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and stupid comments are intentional.

im not nuts.. just workin and parsing stuff, and a lot of nerds who want to know how to add even more colors into their scripts.
the to me important chans in can remember by number.. smile
just an idea to expand the channel switching, cause i think its not done completely. 10 chans is too limited for my taste...
and u can discuss about everthing whats usefull and whats not... who the heck needs colorcodes? cool

working on a script for when you have too much windows ;-]

can hide each window (no matter the type... I hope *G*, tested only with status, custom, channel, query, chat, send and get) button, and show again using a button in your toolbar:

screenshot here

still in development though, I have it in my haltdef (theme) script, so it will automatically show a window if highlighted ;-]

untill now it seems to work perfectly...

(PS: no it;s not DALnet, same IRCd though, guy was too lazy to change $network ;-])
