I’m using mIRC to connect a small chat server,
This server also use a java based client witch allow the users to send icons along with the text. These icons are translated to ascii chars.
Now, my mIRC script (dll – if that matters) displaying these icons as text.
I want to display them as icon. Say, if someone writs:
Hello… smile
It’s seems to me as Hello.. ().
How can I display the icon?

mIRC currently doesnt support images in the text in chat windows

I believe that there is a DLL which will convert the ascii to the picture for some commonly used smileys like : ) but it isnt possible without a DLL doing it

Hasn't this been referred to many times? mIRC was meant for text only chatting, not images. If you want to use smileys, go on AIM or trillian.. mIRC is not made to be a graffical chat systen, nor should it be..
