I've defined mIRC to automatically log all the chats. My options in IRC -> Logging are: Timestamp logs, Strip codes, and Date filenames By Day. I use mIRC 6.12.
I just finished a chat with a friend of mine. The filename mIRC created to my logging folder is
"20030914 Nick.20040222.txt".
What is the first date for? (The last one is the day of the actual chatting and my computers clock is in correct time.)
When I establish chat with myself mIRC creates logfiles with ".log" extension. Why is it so that the extension is sometimes ".txt" and sometimes ".log"? mIRC's View log feature can only see logfiles with ".log" extension.
One thing, when I speak of chats, I mean queries, not DCC chats.
