Forums mIRC Help Question about real name showing up

I failed to realize this when I signed up...very new. I noticed it will not let me change it. I'd prefer to stay at least partially anonymous. What can I do to change this? That is, when people see my name during "info" and what have you...I even clicked on "anonymous" and it doesn't work...I can still see my name when I click on "info"...what gives?

Where is says "Full Name", in the options/connect, just put in what you want , not your full name.

You cant change that info from the options dialog while you are connected, anyones guess as to why. You will either have to disconnect and then open the options dialog or use '/fullname New Name Here' , or if you're feeling lucky, '/username New Name Here'.

/username works for me, but as /fullname seems to be the documented command.. *shrug*

Hmm Ok my mistake, I didn't know /username worked also.
