Way back with earlier versions of mirc, if a friend changed their nick or was hiding, would could do a /who *<ip address>* or something else that may have been in their whois, and it would find them. I noticed now that you can't do that. Is there another way of doing that or being able to find someone with out having their nick? Or searching for someone with something other than a nick?

Thanks,
Jason

/who's output isn't controlled by mIRC, so any changes you find in it are because:

A) You are using a different server,
B) the server software has been changed or
C) the user is now mode +i and wasn't before.

On most servers /who will only find users who are not +i, unless you are in a channel with them.
