Forums mIRC Help rejoin channel when kicked?

I just upgraded and now I don't seem to be able to rejoin channel when kicked, (not that I usually get kicked, but just testing out some stuff . I have the rejoin channel when kicked option checked and don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Any ideas?

If that option is checked there is no reason why you shouldn't join back unless

a] you have a script messing it up (although I don't see how)
b] you're banned.

I don't see how it would not work, it works fine for me.

Just a remark from a channel operator:
If i kick a user in my channel, and he rejoins immediately (rejoin on kick) and is not a fellow operator, that user gets banned faster then he can say "what happened?".

I (and lots of ops i know) consider it incredibly rude to use that option. It completely defeats the purpose of a kick.
Just thought you'd like to know an operator's perspective before you continue using that option.
