highlightin in the scripting stuff wouldt be bad
i mean comments in another color than the rest , and colors for aliases and identifyers

but in first line for comments wink
would be nice ^^

Some people have asked for this on the old forum. If it were implemented I would keep it turned off though, just my personal preference. I do the same with websites. I code all webpages in B&W Notepad instead of using a specialised HTML editor like Editplus.

Implementing syntax highlighting would certainly not do any harm though and I believe such a feature would be popular.

if you check out www.mircscripts.org 's misc archive a guy made a color coding of mirc scripting a program called TextPad.

But i think it would be a good idea, even if it was just boldness of the identifiers and variables would be nice.

a better alternative would be the oft-suggested external editor, so we could use xemacs or textedit or whatever to edit them, and then when the editor closes or saves the file (which can be monitored iirc) mIRC auto reloads it...

A feature like in Excel where it highlights one of the "("'s when you are next to it's opposite partner and the colourcodes it uses...
