Hey.

When loading a file into mIRC it replys with * Loaded script script.mrc...
Been wondering if there is any way to disable this? Well, can this be done in the file that is loaded, so mIRC only echos the echo lines from the script and not the standard one?

Regards

no, all those lines (just like * disconnected and such)
can NOT be halted in any way.

these messages are generated by mIRC and there is nothing you can do about it :-[

That's not true. Like most commands, you can prefix it with a period(.) and it will not display the echo of its status.

I stand corrected... but this does not count for all messages of this kind... some can't be halted...

like * Connecting to irc.foo.bar (6667)

Like most commands

Not to get picky, but note the mention of most. Additonally, "connecting" is not a command, it is an event. It is triggered when a connection occurs. Granted its usually triggered BECAUSE of a command, it is an event nonetheless.

No it's not an event, it's a command. Try "/server theresnoconnectionatall" and it will echo anyway, obviously with no connection being made. Actually it really doesn't matter when exactly that message appears, it's *attempting* to connect yet, therefore there could exist means to halt it from appearing as well (it's been suggested btw).
