I want to replace the normal chat windows with custom windows. But when I enter a channel it will show up in the channel bar... How can I remove it from there?

use the -h switch

That wil remove the custom window... I want to remove the channel itself without leaving it.

You should be able to hide the channel window the same way as a custom one.. dont remember how, but you use the -h switch there too

I think what he means is .. after you join the channel
do /window -h #channel to hide it.
do /window -w #channel to show it again.
