Have you looked at your signature lately?

because you're a moderator.
or
because you've been here since the beginning blah blah blah.
or
because it's in your signature and not the message body.
or (speaking of body)
because you're just too darn secksi for your own good.

AFAIK, it's not ok to post a message here with the sole intention of advertising a channel... however, if -like Parabrat- you're posting an answer/reply to other user, and your signature has your # on it, it's partially ok (as long as you don't advertise movie/music/software theft channels)...

I do not see ParaBrat saying "Come and join #mIRC on DALnet if you need help"

The original poster advertised, the sole purpose of their post was to advertise, they made it seem like you had to join the said channel if you needed help...ParaBrat does not do that.

She has already explained what her duties as a Moderator are, I don't see why you have to be so immature just because she edited your post in the Bug Reports forum because you called some people idiots.

Also, I believe you will find quite a few other regulars with website links and channel names in their signatures, and she does not go around banning people from the Forums for advertising. Any level of intelligence could work this one out.

Clearly, the foundation of what I said to you in the Bugs Report forum still applies. Shame...

It's so fun (read: irritating) to see bitter people like yourself come to a forum to tell the posters saying how much you hate them and their forum. If you disapprove so much of the way this forum is run, the policies it employs, and most of the regular posters why do you continue to come here?

This forum has always allowed ppl to put the channel they can be found in their sig as well as in their profile. That is quite different from openly inviting ppl to a channel, and making that invite the sole purpose of a post.

As for me, i include the channel and network where i am most likely to be found in case ppl need a quicker explanation of a reply, or need one on one real time assistance, as they often do. Since these are "official" mIRC forums, it surprises me that you would think an "official" mIRC channel is out of place on it as a source of help.
