Forums Feature Suggestions more colors?

Im not entirely sure how irc servers/clients decode colors, if its on the client and such, and i asume it is, would it be possible to move up to more colors? like 256 colors or something? if the color processing is done by the client, then it should be simple to implement.

It should be noted that some recent changes have been made to mIRC's color pallet, which suggests a possible color expansion in the not too distant future.
