I would like to see those funny emoticons! It's more modern!

Oh geez I can already see the sharks circling. Some are gonna say this is IRC it has place. Others will say its fine as long as they dont have to see it. The summation of the argument is. Have it but make sure its turned off by default.

This suggestion has been made fourteen dozen times in the past.

Everyone else, lets please refer back to those fourteen dozen threads before posting any further "dude, that would suck" ... "why would it suck?" ... "BLOAT!" ... "make it a turned off by default!" ... etc etc. Here.

This is a subject that has gotten heated discussion more than once. It boils down to:
-its quite simply a matter of personal opinion. some hate it, some love it. some feel it would be wondermous, others that it would be annoying and has no place in IRC. Many also suggest (or insist on) the ability to turn it on/off should it ever be implemented.

-Khaled is well aware of the above and yet another thread of "i hate it" "i love it" posts wont add anything to his awareness. It is his decision as to whether to add them or not. He doesnt discuss in advance what he plans/doesnt plan.

Everyone has the right to post a suggestion here and to give their opinion. However, as i said, this discussion generally consists of heated love/hate comments based purely on personal preference. Yes, Khaled likes to know what ppl would like/not like, but that's already been well established in this case. Please read the other threads on this subject
