Forums mIRC Help away displaying in channels

When I set my away feature in mIRC it always displays in my open channels, but no one else's away I know does this. Whats up with this?

Check if you have Aways to be set in the active window in your mIRC options:

ALT+O > IRC

On the far left side you'll see a little box type thing with the heading "show in active" - make sure the 'Away' box is not checked.

If it's not checked, you may have some sort of script installed which does this. Type /remote off and then try setting yourself away, or messaging someone that's away.
