There are many posters who have pms turned off (understandable, all things considered). Since there is the possibility that the original poster has a specific reason other than idle curiousity for making a post directed to one person (especially with the nature of this question) i dont see
a problem if its done occasionally as a way of seeking more advanced help on a topic not generally covered here. Obviously we dont want a ton of hi-how-are-ya type threads to specific ppl, but i'm inclined to give the poster the benefit of the doubt in this case since its quite possible they are seeking help on that subject.
If a user doesnt have pms disabled, a pm would be the route to go of course. Many ppl also have the network and channel where they are likely to be found in their sig or profile, i'd try that second and leave making a thread here as last resort.
