I wish for

1. A (choosable) sound when a message enters a chat box that is not the current focus. (It may even be that mIRC isn;t the current focus).

2. The oldest minimised chat to have a special colour and or flash rate. (So I know who to attend to first).

3. A Paned layout scheme would be a nice Gradn Project!

4. DCC transfers that have completed. The window or minimised portion should disappear after a time period (settable in secs/not at all)

5. Settable colours should be any colours.

6. Wherever colours are settable (e.g. highlight) the background as well as foreground should be settable).

1. it does. In options, IRC/options set it to flash on channel/query msg, then in options/sounds on event FLASH set a sound (be sure you have sounds enabled checked).

2. imo, you can tab thru them fast enuf to check timestamp if the time the post was made is how you establish priority on who to answer first.

3. im still trying to figure out what a paned layout scheme is since im sure you know you can tile windows so thats not it

4.options/dcc/options, on completion close window. Unchecked, it wont close. why add settable secs?

5. is this a request for more than 16 color choices?
(side note, you do know you can alter the default colours?)

You can use background colors by using
Ctrl-K foreground,background

Example:
Ctrl-K 3,11 This is dark green text on a cyan background

he means, that at the highlight tab you can only select a foreground color, and no background color

(you can make a highlight be white on black when you have a black on white colour scheme)

If it ain't broken, don't fix it!

Open the colors dialog, and right click on one of the color squares.

Also you can use /color N RGBvalue

hold down your alt key and click the k key (or click on the icon that looks like crayons)
right click on one of the small squares that you want to change, then choose "define custom color" and play smile
