Hi,
I have a Roadrunner connection that's connected to a Linksys router. File downloads through Mirc are righ up to speed, but people drop me when they try to get my files or even list.
I'm using XP Pro with everything set to allow fserve and DCC. I/ve chatted with a couple of people trying to get my files and they all say the connection was too slow to even try.

Any suggestions?
Tom

Some providers are limiting upload speed, mite call to see if roadrunner is one of them. Possibly you could find info about them at www.dslreports.com

No I thought of that. Connection speed is fine for both up and down loads.

Thanks,
Tom

i have a friend on roadrunner, and i just remembered that when i send him something he needs me to set the packetsize to 512, so thats worth a try to see if it makes any difference. Check out that site i mentioned, they have forums for lots of isps, and i'm pretty sure he told me roadrunner had some limitations on upload speed and had some kind of monthly cap.

Thanks for the 512 packet size. I didn't think of that one. But the NIC's default setting is 512 and so was mine. I did check the speed of the Roadrunner connection against another site and iy was OK. But I'll take you advise and see what's up at the web site you sent.

Thanks
Tom
