Hello. I had just setup packs 1-10 on my harddrive. Ready for EFNET channel. I have successfully entered this in the XDCC setup. Now comes the hard part. What commands or auto messages can I use to display my packs on the channel. And what is the command to become as an active server on that channel.

Invision is an addon script, you will need to contact whoever created it for help with it.

While i dont presume to know your intent, odds are that you need to read this thread before posting further

Not to mention the part where invision is unsafe for use. backdoors, spam, etc etc

Then you have no considered it enough. Stability is not the only thing you should take into account. The endless spamming (against the rules of every network and channel out there), and the backdoors, the hacked exe etc are also factors. The mere fact the exe has been modified is enough reason to never use it. Not to mention the part where that makes it illegal to distribute.

Thats why they make security systems.like norton,etc.. You may not have this setup correctly.Although Its not not just by software alone. Routers, etc. have to be setup correctly as well. laugh

Hmm. you got it the wrong way around. Willfully using a bad program and then fixing it by installing more programs is not the best approach. The best solution is to delete the bad program to begin with.

With working in the Software Design Development for 25 years you may have a point. Appariently you have already made up your mind that Invision is a bad plugin. I point out a plug-in. MIRC still may have a lot to do with running it. It may be self suffient but still a plugin. I have tested this plugin and have found nothing different other than its a lot easier to use.

I found these pages which you should read. This will give you more insight what Invision is all about.

http://www.questie.com/manga/ (Read 1st and 2nd paragraph) http://invision.lebyte.com/ (Read ABOUT)

It is an advanced script for MIRC

Boh of your topics comes from either a site for some pirating group, or the site itself. Like I woul;d trust them. About four years ago, I tried invision, and found three trojans. Maybe times have changes, But i'll never use them.

I happen to just stumble upon this post here.. I got to ask.. what actual facts are you basing this *Invision is not secure, has many trojans, etc.* theory on LocutusofBorg?

Isn't it a fact that mIRC itself has had more then a couple of security holes? Ya.. thought so.

Why make posts that will start an argument which will force the moderators to lock this thread?

As KingTomato's post above ought to make clear, even disregarding the "file sharing" question, Invision is a problem. It and its variants are well known for spreading backdoors and Trojans.

I suggest that you moderate your language and put your brain into gear before posting.
